Relive TEDxGhent 2013 – Second batch of talks

Have you ever heard about musical robots operated by naked men?
Or are you hungry for a deeply philosophical talk by Iain McGilchrist?

Here’s our second batch of TEDxGhent talks:

Godfried-Willem Raes

As founder of the Ghent-based Logos, an organization famous for its experimental musical performances, Godfried-Willem Raes is not only a composer, but he is also a well known expert in computer technology, robotics and interactive electronic art. His performance might include nudity, and, of course, robots.

Iain McGilchrist

Iain McGilchrist is a psychiatrist and writer, committed to the idea that the mind and brain can be understood only by seeing them in the broadest possible context, that of the whole of our physical and spiritual existence, and of the wider human culture in which they arise – the culture which helps to mould, and in turn is moulded by, our minds and brains. His talk ‘The Divided Brain‘ was a Best of the Web pick by TED!

Bruno Pieters

Bruno Pieters is a Belgian fashion designer and art director highly regarded for his avant-garde creations and sharp tailoring. As a designer and an entrepreneur, Pieters wants to establish a sustainable new model for the fashion industry. ‘Honest by’ is the first company in the World to offer price transparancy to their customers and to make their entire supply chain transparant ánd ecologically sustainable.
